This Privacy Policy explains how PT DUTA WISATA KOMODO ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the FlossGrid mobile application (the "App") or view this policy page.

At a glance: FlossGrid does not require an account. Your photos, patterns, project names, edits, and settings are kept in the App's private storage on your device. Pattern creation and export generation happen on your device. The App has no ads, behavioral analytics, or crash-reporting service, and it does not upload your photos or projects. Information leaves the App only when you save a PNG to Photos, copy a shopping list, or share a PDF through Android.

1. About FlossGrid

FlossGrid is an offline cross-stitch pattern maker. It lets you choose or take a photo, crop it, convert it into a pattern, edit individual stitches and thread colors, review colors and material estimates, save a color PNG to Photos, and share a vector PDF through Android. The App does not offer user accounts or cloud synchronization.

2. Information Handled by the App

The App handles the content you choose to add and the settings needed to provide its features.

Information How it is used Where it is kept
Selected or captured photos To let you crop an image and turn it into a cross-stitch pattern. FlossGrid reads the image orientation so the photo appears correctly, converts its working copy to PNG, and does not use embedded location details. Copied into the App's private storage on your device. A temporary file may also be created by Android's photo picker or camera app.
Pattern projects To save your project name, crop, grid dimensions, stitches, thread palette, symbols, fabric choices, strand count, generation settings, thumbnails, and creation or update dates. On your device
App preferences To remember your theme, new-pattern defaults, onboarding status, and internal maintenance state. On your device
Generated exports To create the color PNG or vector PDF that you request. The PDF can include the project name, chart, legend, thread codes and names, stitch counts, symbols, fabric count, and finished size. Source photos are not placed in the PDF or exported PNG. Created first in the App's private export folder. A PNG is copied to Photos only when you request it. A PDF is provided only to the share destination you choose.
Shopping list text To place the project name, thread codes, color names, and estimated quantities on the Android clipboard when you tap Copy list. Placed on the system clipboard at your request.

FlossGrid does not create advertising identifiers, build a profile about you, sell personal information, or use your content for advertising or AI training. We do not receive a copy of your photos or projects through the App.

3. Permissions and Device Access

FlossGrid uses the following Android permissions or system features. Most are used only after a clear action from you.

Permission or access Why it is used Your control
Camera Optional The App asks for camera permission during first-time setup so you can later take a source photo from inside FlossGrid. The camera is opened only when you choose Take Photo. You may deny or remove this permission in Android Settings. You can still choose an existing photo or use a sample image.
Photos you select The Android system photo picker gives FlossGrid access to the individual photo you choose. The App does not request permission to read your entire photo library. You decide whether to open the picker and which photo to select. Canceling the picker does not affect other features.
Photos and storage on Android 9 or earlier Export only Older Android versions require storage permission to save a generated PNG in the Pictures/FlossGrid album. Although this older permission is broad, FlossGrid uses it only to save the PNG you requested. Android 10 and later do not need this storage permission for the same action. The permission is requested only when needed for Save to Photos. If you deny it, the PNG is not saved and your project remains available in the App.

FlossGrid does not request access to your location, microphone, contacts, calls, messages, notifications, nearby devices, or calendar.

4. On-Device Image and Pattern Processing

Photo normalization, cropping, resizing, color matching, pattern cleanup, stitch editing, thumbnail creation, material calculations, and export generation all run on your device. Your photo is not uploaded to our servers or any third-party service. FlossGrid creates a private normalized PNG copy of an imported photo; this copy keeps the visible pixels and correct orientation rather than the original photo's extra metadata.

5. Saving, Sharing, and the Clipboard

Saving a PNG

When you choose Save to Photos, FlossGrid creates a color chart PNG and copies it to the Pictures/FlossGrid album through Android. The saved image is then outside the App's private storage. Your gallery, device maker, or a cloud photo service you enabled may back it up or synchronize it under that service's terms.

Sharing a PDF

When you choose Share PDF, FlossGrid creates a vector pattern PDF and opens the Android share sheet. The project name may be used in the file name and share title. The app, service, person, or location you select receives the PDF and handles it under their own privacy terms. We do not receive the file or learn which destination you choose.

Copying a shopping list

When you choose Copy list, the shopping list leaves FlossGrid's private screen and enters the Android clipboard. Android and other apps may be able to show or read clipboard content according to your Android version and device settings. Avoid copying a project name that contains personal information if you do not want it on the clipboard.

6. Storage, Retention, Backup, and Deletion

Local project storage

Photos, crops, project records, palettes, edits, preferences, and thumbnails remain in the App's private storage until you delete the related project, clear FlossGrid's storage in Android Settings, or uninstall the App. Deleting a project removes its database record and private image files when those files are no longer used by another project.

Temporary export files

FlossGrid removes a temporary PNG after the save attempt. A PDF may need to remain temporarily after the Android share sheet opens so the chosen app can read it. FlossGrid removes export files older than about 24 hours during later App use when possible. Android or a receiving app may keep its own copy outside FlossGrid.

Backup and device transfer

FlossGrid does not provide cloud backup or synchronization. The Android release configuration disables App backup and excludes FlossGrid files, databases, and preferences from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Files that you separately save to Photos, share, paste, or copy elsewhere are controlled by those destinations and may be backed up by them.

Removing your information

  • Delete individual projects from the project library.
  • Remove a saved PNG from your gallery or photo service.
  • Clear or replace clipboard content using Android or another copy action.
  • Clear all FlossGrid storage in Android Settings or uninstall the App to remove its local data from that device.
  • Contact the chosen share destination to manage a PDF after it has left FlossGrid.

Because we do not hold an online copy of your App projects, we cannot view, restore, correct, or delete that local content for you.

7. Security

FlossGrid uses Android's private App storage to separate its files from ordinary access by other apps and does not include App data in Android backup or device transfer. The App does not add its own password or separate encryption layer, so your device screen lock and Android security settings remain important. Once you save, copy, or share content, it is outside FlossGrid's private storage. No storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Your Choices

  • Use FlossGrid without creating an account.
  • Deny or remove camera permission and use selected photos or sample images instead.
  • Choose exactly which photo to provide through the system picker.
  • Decide whether to save a PNG, copy a shopping list, or share a PDF.
  • Delete projects, clear App storage, or uninstall the App when you choose.

If you email us, you may ask about or request deletion of the personal information contained in that correspondence, subject to any information we must keep for legal or security reasons.

9. Children's Privacy

FlossGrid is a general craft tool and is not directed specifically to children. The App does not offer accounts, advertising, or social features, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal information through the App. If you believe there is a privacy concern involving a child, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when FlossGrid's features, permissions, or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated policy and change the effective date shown above. Please review the latest version from time to time.
